Aloha..
So it's monday yet again, and I am back in front of my computer selecting my favourite tracks this past month. It's funny how you have a bunch a songs that you listen to, some more than others, but as soon as you're officially picking the best of the best it gets hard. Anyway... Here they are!
Sekuoia
A danish electronica producer who has an EP out - follow the link and it's all there. I love the atmosphere, the hypnotizing loops and the beautiful sonic picture he creates.
First Aid Kit - "Ghost Town"
Two girls from Sweden that sound more like a Nashville creation. The song is simple, their harmonies are alluring and it's perfect for a late Sunday evening.
Drake ft. "The Weeknd - Crew Love" (Shlohmo Remix)
I have a friend who got my hooked on Drake this winter, and together with The Weeknd and a lot of love from Shlohmo... Nothing more is needed!
New Order - "Blue Monday"
I saw a documentary the other evening called, "Factory: From Joy Division to Happy Mondays" which you can watch for free HERE. It's about the label Factory Records who had a huge influence on the Manchester scene in the 80's and early 90's. It's really interesting and extremely funny at times, and there is a lot about New order in there - I'm hooked!
Someones Diary
The last link for today is a friend of ours who plays drums, records and was co-founder of this band. Check them out..
So, that's the end. Hope you'll enjoy if not all then at least some of the songs and links. Take care..
